"And your flesh shall be a great poem" Walt Whitman (1855)
These words, written 162 years ago, sum up everything we're doing here at Novel Beauty.
We want to read you. But first we need you to read to us. It's time for YOUR close up...
We want you to video yourself reading aloud for 2 minutes max. You can choose the source of what you read; your favourite book, a wish list, it can even be a poem or something you've written. And you can shoot your best feature; your elbow, bridge of your nose, face, belly button!? Be as creative as you like! We only ask for it to include the word "skin".
When you're done upload to your instagram feed or Facebook page and tag us @novelskincare #wereadyou.
We'll be sharing them on social media from the end of March with full credits of course. And we'll give our viewers favourite a free gift. We can't wait to see what you come up with!
BTW below are a few more words from Whitman. You can read the full piece online (link below) or better yet read the whole book Leaves of Grass we did and look what happened.
"...and your very flesh shall be a great poem and have the richest fluency not only in its words but in the silent lines of its lips and face and between the lashes of your eyes and in every motion and joint of your body."
